Chinese share prices experience major correction
Chinese share prices were driven down by global market slumps on Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index diving 170.47 points, or 3.81 percent, to close the daily trading at 4,300.56.
The combined turnover of the nation’s two bourses rose from 236.2 billion yuan on Tuesday to 268.9 billion yuan on Wednesday. (One U.S. dollar is equal to 7.57 yuan)
