How to buy closed-end funds

GUANGZHOU (Fund China) – After the establishment of closed-end funds, their shares are fixed and investors can only trade them through the platforms in the Stock Exchange as stocks.

Step 1: open a fund trading account
Like stock trading, trading closed-end funds also needs accounts. So you need to go to the securities business department to open accounts, including funds accounts and financial accounts (that is, the so-called margin accounts). Remember to carry your identity cards and the corporation designated bank cards. For those who already have stock accounts, there is no need to open fund accounts. Because the original stock accounts can be used for the sale of closed-end funds. However, the fund accounts can not for the sale of shares, and can only be used for the sale of funds and treasury bonds.

Step 2: transfer money into the account
Before buying closed-end funds, you need to transfer some money from your bank accounts into your account of the securities company.

Step 3: trade funds
The scale of closed-end funds is the same as stock trading. You can buy them through computers or telephone trading systems by entering the corresponding code, price and quantity.
